Wyde Out Wyman Doing His Thing

Jared Wyman of Wilton, a wide receiver for the Fairfield County team breaks off the line of scrimmage during Friday night's Hall of Fame Classic in Fairfield.
Friday night’s Hall of Fame Classic football game between Fairfield County and New Haven County was far from a classic. In fact, Fairfield County fumbled on the first play from scrimmage and New Haven County scored a few plays later and by the end of the first half it was 36-0.
Wilton’s Jared Wyman was the lone Wilton representative taking part in the game, playing wide receiver. The ball was thrown into his direction twice in the first half — the first attempt was so far behind him it might have been meant for another receiver near the sideline and the second was badly badly BADLY underthrown as the FC QB was scrambling for his life.
The good things about games like this is no matter how bad the final score might sting, at least Wyman got to make some new friends; in some cases, former opponents who might have been enemies.
